MEN'S VOLLYBALL
UTS (3) def RMIT REDBACKS (0)
The crowd was well and truly riled up for Volleyball. The amazing spikes, fast-paced ball movement and cohesive teamwork, created an atmosphere to rival professional leagues.
While the Redbacks held their own, unfortunately their efforts were not reflected on the scoreboard, with UTS ultimately having a conclusive victory (0-3).
The home team celebrated each point as though it was a match-winner, and took the defeat in their stride.
‘even though we didn’t get the result we wanted, as a new team we’ve come together with a lot of us either not playing high level yet, or just entering high level recently, we played really well against obviously a very strong team.
I think that experience is going to help us in our future training, especially when we go into the comp, because I know we’re gonna see more people like that.
One step at a time, and I think we might be all over it.’
